This Mango and Black Pepper Gin and Tonic is a deliciously different way to enjoy the classic G&T. The sweet mango and fiery black pepper sing together and make this a drink to remember.

Super super quick post today as I am off to bed super super early after a super super Easter weekend 😉

Before I curl up in bed with a food magazine and my cinnamon milk I wanted to share this Mango and Black Pepper Gin and Tonic with you. I tried it today and loved it!

I read about this on a beer mat!!!! Well I suppose actually it was a cocktail mat, because I was drinking a cocktail and the bar was certainly more cocktail bar than beer bar. (What does that even mean??? Beer bar?? Ha guess I should have stuck to just one of these gin & tonics!)

This Mango and Black Pepper Gin and Tonic is a deliciously different way to enjoy the classic G&T. The sweet mango and fiery black pepper sing together and make this a drink to remember.

Anyway I read on a cocktail mat that one of the perfect fruits to pair with gin was mango as it brings out the juniper and botanical taste of the gin due to something called pinene, which is found in mango and also juniper! It seemed to make sense so I tried it and loved it!!!! (I also discovered that black pepper is high in pinene as well so why not mix them both!)

If you love the strong botanical flavours of gin then give this a try!!!! And if you love a good gin and tonic then you might also want to try my Charred Lemon, Rosemary and Coriander Gin and Tonic, so good.

But whichever gin and tonic you try, cheers x

If you love this recipe for Mango and Black Pepper Gin and Tonic why not pin it for later.

I substituted 1/3 of tonic for mango juice. Delicious!

Hi Claire, Gin and tonic is Gary's summer drink of choice and I think he would really like this. I'm more of a vodka gal myself.
