Can I make Baileys Affogato with a different Irish Cream Liqueur?

    FOR SURE!!!!!

Baileys is just the most commonly known, but this will work with the lesser know brands just as well. In fact the creamy ice cream can really boosts the slightly cheaper brands by making them thicker and richer tasting.

Just make sure it is chilled completely so it doesn't melt the ice cream too quickly!

What about a different flavor combination for the Baileys Affogato?

You can switch up the baileys or the ice cream!

Try original baileys poured over salted caramel ice cream or chocolate ice cream.

Or some of the limited edition baileys flavors will work wonderfully here too. Try vanilla ice cream with the coffee flavored baileys or the chocolate cherry baileys over chocolate ice cream!

Or for the pumpkin spice lovers, why not try that over cinnamon ice cream.

This 'recipe' has a special place in my heart. 1) because it contains Baileys!!!! and 2) because it once won me a years supply of Baileys!!!! Yup, a years supply of Baileys. Although I can tell you that the Baileys' promotional department's idea of a years supply is a little different to my idea of a years supply 😉 Not that I am complaining!! Free Baileys is free Baileys 🙂

Bailey's were running a competition on their Facebook page. You had to comment with your favourite way to enjoy Baileys and who you would enjoy it with. My winning entry was "I enjoy Baileys poured over vanilla ice cream and sprinkled with crumbled up chocolate flakes" Then I tagged Stew. Everyone else was suggesting cakes and frosting ideas and cocktails, but I don't use Baileys that way. I drink it neat over ice or I pour it over ice cream. Neat over ice wasn't going to win any competitions! So I went with the ice cream option and WON!!!!

        Hi Bethany,

I actually bought them at a thrift store, they don't have any branding or name on them.
        Sorry I couldn't be more help 🙁

I am going to have this soon!! I usually pour Kahlua ontop of my ice cream, but maybe I might add some Baileys too!! YUM!
And you're right... a Bottle of Baileys a month, isn't really enough for me too, but I will GLADLY accept Free Baileys!

This caught my eye because at our Thanksgiving dinner there was a whole discussion about Baileys. This sounds so tasty, plus it's a no bake dessert! 🙂

Wow lucky you Claire to win Bailey's for a year! no wonder you won though, it is great idea to drink or use it over Ice cream! I would not and can not drink straight any alcohols but if they are used in sweets I can:D. It would be great on iced coffee too?!

It would be wonderful in iced coffee 🙂
Although I tend to grab an iced coffee mid afternoon, just before I do the school run...... I best try that one on a Saturday arvo 😉
