Ingredients

brown bread

cream cheese
(room temp)

chopped chives

smoked salmon
Instructions
Place the bread in the toaster and toast until crisp.
Allow to cool then use a cookie cutter to cut small rounds out of your toast
Add a teaspoon (or so) of cream cheese to each round.
Top the rounds with some smoked salmon and a sprinkling of chopped chive (or your chosen herb).
Notes
As an alternative to chives you could use:
lemon and black pepper
chopped dill
finely chopped capers
parsley and lemon zest
tarragon
caviar
finely chopped red onion
finely chopped celery
chervil
cayenne pepper
