Thrive at Five: Meal Planning Week 36

A great meal plan that will have your weeknight meals sorted! We have a great selection of dishes this week.

You have all heard me talk about the Witching hour, that time of day when my beautiful well behaved kids turn into monsters (disclaimer….mostly well behaved)

5pm for my kids is like water for Gremlins!

Is it the same in your house?

It is a stressful time of day, there is homework to supervise, school uniforms to wash, animals to feed and somewhere in the middle of all of that you need to get dinner on the table.

So I am got together with some fabulous food bloggers to bring you a weekly meal plan. Having a meal plan takes some of the stress out of that witching hour. Having a meal plan allows you to ‘Thrive at five’.

Each week there will be 5 main meals and 2 extras. They might be dessert, a side salad or a sneaky beverage. So you have everything to organise your week.

Below I have planned them out for how they fit best for us, but mix it up and plan your week so it works for you.

Sunday

Chicken in Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce from Jillian at Food, Folks, and Fun.

This is some serious comfort food! Spicy, creamy, and ready in 50 minutes.

Monday

Hawaiian Turkey Meatball Noodle Bowl from Chellie over at Art From My Table.

Perfect for #MeatballMonday.

Tuesday

Easy Weeknight Roast Chicken from Tania over at The Cooks Pyjamas.

Some great tips for getting roast chicken on the table mid-week. YUM!

Wednesday

Mexican Black Rice and Pumpkin Salad from me here at Sprinkles and Sprouts.

Honey and cumin roasted pumpkin, nutty sweet black rice, creamy avocado, spicy chilli, zingy lime and fabulous fresh coriander. So many delicious flavours that make this salad a taste explosion.

Thursday

Hearty Slow Cooker Chili Mac from Renée over at Kudos Kitchen.

An easy meal to put together on a busy day; let the slow cooker do the work until you’re ready to eat.

Extras

Peanut Butter Protein Bars from Chellie over at Art From My Table.

This is healthy and easy to make. That is exactly what we need for a mid-week dessert!

Homemade Caramel Apples from Carrie over at Carrie’s Home Cooking.

Have a great week and I hope you can get through the witching hour and thrive at five. And if not, pour a glass of wine, serve the delicious dishes and let the stress melt away as you drink your wine and know that your family has been well fed.
