A few of the blogs I follow have what they call a Saturday Snapshot, where they post a picture of their Saturday. I love these posts, probably because I am a little bit nosy 😉 I like seeing how the foodies I follow actually live. It is always reassuring to see an ironing pile in the background, or children covered in mud. It reminds me that actually we are pretty normal.
So I thought I'd start something similar. I already have a weekly Saturday post, with my Saturday Afternoon Platter so I am going to move my snapshots to Sunday and because I am a bit of a photo taking addict, I couldn't choose one! So I am starting my week in pictures.
So my week in pictures:
The Christmas spider that decided my clothes airer was a great place to make a web.
My impressive skills on the Etch-a-Sketch. The boys were impressed.....One day they will realise what a fail this picture really is. But until then I will hold the household crown for best etch-a-sketch drawing.
The wonderful message that a dear friend sent me after I had mentioned that I had left the house without mascara 3 days running!
Recipe trialling. My attempt at making a gluten free, whole 30, paleo friendly chicken kiev. Not perfect yet. But Stew said it was delicious.
Prawn and cabbage dumplings in a spicy broth. I am having a wonton/gyoza/dumpling obsession at the moment! This was my Thursday night dinner and another recipe that I want to perfect for the blog, the taste is there, but they look a little like floating brains!
And finally the beautiful view on my walk on Wednesday morning. I love where we live 🙂
Have a great Sunday 🙂

Oh how that beautiful beach picture makes me jealous! And I think that etch-a-sketch drawing is pretty darn good!

We are very blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world, I am thankful every time I walk the coastal path.
Hehe, Thank you, you can stick around, I fear yourself and my boys are the only ones who appreciate my genius etch-a-sketch skills 😉

Wonderful pictures, especially the spider. Cant wait to try GF chicken kiev but will give the floating brains a miss!

I might make you eat them as payback for the sheep brains!!
The Kiev still needs some tweaking. Too much butter leaked out. But I think the crumb will make great chicken goujons.

Awesome idea Claire...which beach is it?

I am not sure of the name Amanda, but it is between Halls Head and Falcon.
