A great meal plan that will have your weeknight meals sorted! We have a great selection of dishes this week.
You have all heard me talk about the Witching hour, that time of day when my beautiful well behaved kids turn into monsters (disclaimer….mostly well behaved)
5pm for my kids is like water for Gremlins!
Is it the same in your house?
It is a stressful time of day, there is homework to supervise, school uniforms to wash, animals to feed and somewhere in the middle of all of that you need to get dinner on the table.
So I am got together with some fabulous food bloggers to bring you a weekly meal plan. Having a meal plan takes some of the stress out of that witching hour. Having a meal plan allows you to ‘Thrive at five’.
Each week there will be 5 main meals and 3 extras. They might be dessert, a side salad or a sneaky beverage. So you have everything to organise your week.
Below I have planned them out for how they fit best for us, but mix it up and plan your week so it works for you.
This is a family favourite! Such a great way to make a stir fry style dinner for the whole family (without using a dustbin lid as a wok!)
This pizza looks so beautiful your family won’t notice you are embracing #meatlessmonday!!!
No matter what the weather, grilled food makes you feel good! Get the outdoor grill on or the griddle on the hob and enjoy this juicy chicken.
Get over hump day with this delicious and decadent filet mignon! Elegant and sure to impress. Ring the in-laws get them over and feed them well too 😀
All those lovely pizza toppings served on top of pasta. That is going to please everyone!!!
These can be made in advance and easy to make double so you have extras though out the week. Serve with ice cream for dessert or over yogurt for breakfast.
Perfect for morning tea through out the week, or as an after school snack for the kids.
Perfect for the weekend breakfast or serve them warm as dessert.
Have a great week and I hope you can get through the witching hour and thrive at five. And if not, pour a glass of wine, serve the delicious dishes and let the stress melt away as you drink your wine and know that your family has been well fed.
For weekend ideas I am starting a new series on the blog for entertaining at home. Watch this space 😀
