    18 Deliciously Divine ways to Enjoy Prawns (Shrimp)

    Living in Australia I am lucky to have easy access to some of the best prawns (shrimps) in the world. Which is good as I adore prawns! They are so delicate yet flavourful, so versatile and instantly they take a dish from everyday to gourmet.

    Australia is about to head into Autumn and the northern Hemisphere is heading into Spring; the weather is changing. It is no longer blazing hot or icy cold. So to celebrate the change of season and the change of eating habits I thought it would be good to share some of my favourite prawn/shrimp dishes with you. These aren't summer salads or hearty winter warmers, these are fresh delicious and comforting meals that are perfect for the change of season!

    • Quick Asian Chicken and Shrimp Soup This sweet, salty and sour soup from Brain over at Krumpli is the perfect balance of flavours! And one of my favourite soups!
    • Coquille St. Jacques This Coquille St. Jacques from Valerie over at Valerie's Keepers is twist on a French Classic! So creamy and so good!
    • Low Country Boil Foil Packets Potatoes, corn, andouille sausage and shrimps are all cooked together in an easy foil packet. I love how easy this is cook and serve!
    • Linguine with Saffron and Prawns Creamy, rich and luxurious! This pasta dish is quick and easy to make but elegant and perfect for company.
    • Saffron Shrimp Risotto Garlic shrimps and saffron risotto, the perfect combination!
    • Kerala Prawn Curry This curry from the south Indian state of Kerala is packed with succulent prawns and has a spicy coconut gravy! I love it!
    • Shrimp Chow Mein This shrimp chow mein from Omnivores Cookbook is a quick and healthy one-pot meal! And I love everything Maggie Makes!
    • Salmon, Prawn and Charred Corn Crepes These delicate, thin crepes are filled with creamy delicious salmon and king prawns, some sweet charred corn and then baked to a crisp delicious perfection. Even though I say it myself these are lush!!
    • Honey Chilli Garlic Tiger Prawns These Honey Chilli Garlic Prawns have 5 ingredients and 8 minutes to make! That makes them the perfect fast food. I bet you couldn't even find the takeaway menu in that time!
    • Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta A cheesecake factory copy cat recipe from my friend Jennifer. You have to try this one!!!! It is one of my favourites!
    • Steamed Shrimp with Old bay Cocktail Sauce Succulent juicy shrimp, steamed to perfection and then dipped into a rich and flavoured packed cocktail sauce. I could live on this! (Maybe)
    • Easy Bouillabaisse Bouillabaisse is a traditional Provencal fish stew, and this version from Kathleen over at Hapa Nom Nom is beautiful, packed with flavour and oh so good!
    • Creamy Shrimp and Chorizo Pasta with MushroomsThis pasta dish from Natasha over at Salt and Lavender is packed with flavours. A must for all prawn lovers!
    • Creamy Garlic Butter Tuscan Shrimp This dish from fellow Australian Karina over at Cafe Delights is perfect for date night! So creamy and so good! And worth every calorie!
    • Prawn Kare Lomen (Wagamama Copycat Recipe)Spiced prawns, a rich spicy coconut broth, ramen noodles, fresh beansprouts and shredded cucumber. Just like the restaurant only without leaving the house!
    • Double Garlic Brown Butter Shrimp Double garlic!!!!! Oh yes, Nagi has knocked it out of the park again with this prawn recipe. Honestly I wanted to lick my plate!
    • Asiago Chipotle Shrimp Toast Delicious seafood sandwiched between buttery toasted bread. the perfect Creole treat! Different but amazing!
    • Skillet Zucchini Shrimp Pasta When it comes to Italian food Rosemary knows what she is talking about!!!! I adore this, everything about it is just spot on!
